Check in for the ECMMA 2016 Move Along, Catch a Song Convention begins at 2:00 pm. See the complete schedule here.
After a day of travel, we’ll begin with some interactive movement in a session led by Leslie Timmons. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes!
Next, we have the opportunity to hear from Susan Kaplan . “….the more one loves teaching, the more heart-breaking it can be.”
No one knows more than each of you as a music teacher, how true this statement can be. Susan will explore ways to sustain that spark rather than lose the light from exhaustion. In Susan’s words,
“This reconnection to what brought you into teaching music may surprise you – that you can leave more refreshed than you thought possible! A new song may arise from touching into this inner voice.”
Susan will also present breakout sessions out Monday and Tuesday.
Following this general session, we’ll head to Peterson Dining Hall, just a short walk from the UGH for dinner on your own. There will be opportunity for small group discussion.
